It isn’t always easy to know what comes after school or college. But our school leaver programmes can kick start your career with valuable on-the-job experience and learning.

No matter which programme you join, you’ll receive plenty of support from our network of mentors, dedicated training programmes and top-quality tools and resources to set you up for success.

What to expect as a school / college leaver


As a school or college leaver you’ll be working and studying with your cohort, members of our graduate programmes and wider RSM project teams.

Every day will be different as you get started working on client projects from the start. You’ll be a key member of the team working on a variety of projects across some exciting industries. You’ll have access to internal training including national and service line sessions to help you on your way to becoming a trusted adviser to your clients.

As a school leaver you’ll do your level four qualification and move straight onto your level seven qualification – streamlining your journey. 

The balance of on-the-job experience and study will be highly dependent on the qualifications you are working towards.

We want you to feel part of a team from the start. Before you join us, you’ll be invited to attend events, both virtually and in person so that you can meet with members of your cohort and connect to like-minded people before your first day in the office.

Audit
You’ll be working hands on with our experts to hone your skills, examining the risks, weaknesses, and overall performance of our clients – contributing to the integrity of the world of finance. On our school leaver programmes, you’ll study towards professional accountancy qualifications while working with clients to become a trusted adviser.
